Not rangers. but ENGLAND related!

Look! Its me in the brand new england shirt 05-07. Its not even being shown on the umbro website til wednesday!!! and i'm wearing it! i rule! Kitbag shipped the shirts early, so at least i could show off for once at work! I know i look damn ugly, but the shirt looks great! Simple lines, nice fabric as always. Not as hugging to my figure as the last one! And the red cross is JUST like a shirt i designed for John a little while ago!

So was shocked to see it! The gold star is now metal, not fabric. the collar is small, but is stiff if you want to put the collar up. All in all, a very good shirt!

Preview - Rangers vs Cheadle Utd Thursday

The blog seems to have gone down hill in the last week or so, so I think its time we got it back going again!

This week sees the Rangers come up against Division 6 whipping boys Cheadle Utd Thursday. Last time out this game resulted in a great 16-3 victory for the Rangers. The question is – can they do it again?

Team news shows Belch returning to the squad, which will see him move back between the sticks. However an early rumour has it that he might try and get himself outfield for at least part of the game to show us that he isn’t just an excellent keeper but has some skills to attack with too.
It is currently touch and go as to whether Pie will be playing – a last day of current work drinking session will be preceding the game, and so he might not be in a fit state to play. Some people say I am never in a fit state to play, but never-the-less it will probably be a last minute decision. The only other absentee will be Rascle, who has had a recurrence of his toe injury. No word yet on how its looking, so assume he will be missing.
Otherwise its as you were, with Big Rick on stand by in case of an more withdrawals. Last week he was due to make only his second appearance for the Rangers when he had to pull out due to a viral infection.

So what do we know about the Cheadle Utd boys? Well as I mentioned above, they are the whipping boys of the division, currently sitting bottom of the league. With no points to their name, and a goal difference of an amazing –98!! It should in theory be a banker for the Rangers.

Prediction : The Rangers should win this game, and win it comfortably. As long as the keep their concentration they shouldn’t have a problem improving their goal difference either. The big question is, can the Fist get off the mark? And will Belly impress should he get out of net for a half?

Bramhall Rangers vs Northern Canaries - Match Preview

This game makes the half way point of the season, with Rangers sitting comfortably in mid table. A win in this game won't see them move up anywhere as the gap to 4th place is currently 5 points.

However this week's opponents, Northern Canaries, are a team that in theory should be beatable, lying below the Rangers in the table though only by one point.
Their reord this season so far is as follows :
20/01/2005 8 - 12 DAW BANKERS
27/01/2005 3 - 12 EAST DIDSBURY
03/02/2005 10 - 15 8-CARROTGOLD
10/02/2005 11 - 8 CHEADLE UTD THURSDAY
17/02/2005 5 - 10 THE SLIM JIMS
24/02/2005 6 - 3 THE GRISWALDS

Team news for the Rangers shows a full strength squad again, with Shiz and The Fist returning after a break in Eastern Europe. In theory this should strengthen the Rangers team, however it remains to be seen whether Piggy can perform in the same team as Shiz, last week he had one of his better games of the season without Shiz playing.

Kick off is 9.30pm

Don't Forget...

The Bramhall Rangers website is still up and running at Pie5.co.uk.

Here you can find Fixtures, Results, Match Reports, In The Hot Seat, and more.

Go have a look.

UPDATE : We are short of a match report for the game against Daw Bankers. I know it was a shocker, but if anyone wants to pen a few short words to sum up the game and what happened then please do.
