xbox tournament!
Well, we managed to scrape together 6 players for this tournament! Dr H, Mini, Hedderz, Pie, Piggy, and Rascle.
4 games, 12 minutes each in length. First off we lost 3-0! Embaressing point came from myself!!! I tried to square to keeper and missed! cheers from the audience grew louder when i did it a second AND third time!!! I blame the cold i have at the moment! my co-ordination is out!
Second match had a 14 yr old tiny guy in nets, who we subsequently found was a shit keeper. and still, we lost 3-1! Mini man scoring the precious precious goal! They only had 4 players to begin! shocking! This was to be pie's last game in goal!!
3rd match was against a good team who we'd been chatting with for a while! And we'd had banter with them. An even match that we were unlucky to lose 1-0. Pie had a SPECTACULAR dive! almost like superman but without the flying!!! seismic activity was registered higher in the local area.
And finally we played the table leaders, who were very good. We had a goal disallowed as i'd cross it when the ball was in the box! And i got frustrated at one guy that had come in heavy on me, so i swung round and sweeped both his legs out from under him after he'd turned away with the ball. Luckily there wasnt a booking!!! We lost that 4-1 i think. Or maybe 5-1. We gave up counting. Lots of them play for cheadle town and other clubs. Pie scored the elusive goal, and a good goal it was. Which was greeted with a banshee-esque miniman in goal yelling in jubilation! Tho we feel his follow up of "easy! easy!" was probably not well founded!!!
All in all, fun was had by all, tho it descended to madness at the end when piggy proved he knows little aout 5-a-side. That, and the fact he's a wimp and won't get the ball off someone doing kick ups when its our free kick...
Other tit-bits included pie letting in back to back goals through his legs. Piggy being fouled, and doing a huge 360 on the floor to stand up! Possibly longer than john's "erections" from ground! Mini's boots grip was strangely absent from the pitch again.. Although there WAS too much sand on the pitch which was killing our grip!!

Can i just state categorically that it wasn't a dive. I turned my man with some skill and then went over his trailing leg. And to show i managed to scrape all the skin off one side of my shin. Still a bit tender.
But i enjoyed everything, except for Piggy's woeful performance. I can't think of one good thing he did.
he did start off for the last match..
