Injury News
Well the latest Bramhall Rangers physio report is in, and its not looking good.
Belly, who you will remember sat out of a number of games before Christmas with a knee injury, aggrivated it again making one of a number of great saves. He went to the doctors today to get it checked out, who referred him to A&E for an x-ray. Thankfully A&E decided it wasn't serious enough to warrant an x-ray, but have decided he has ligament damage and he needs to rest it.
So its likely we won't be seeing Belly pulling on a Rangers shirt for a while again, in fact apparently he has been told to keep away from stressing it too much, even so much as driving long distances has been banned!
Piggy who missed the game with a mysterious knee injury himself, also seems to have the beginnings of the flu. Lets hope he's recovered for next week!
As for myself, well I am in a bit of pain today around my lower calf/top of my ankle on my left leg. I was feeling it a bit before the game yesterday, but after streching it off it was ok. However as the game progressed strething for a couple of balls seem to have done damage so we will have to see how that goes. I have a feeling it might be related to the problem i had before Xmas, so if it doesn't clear up significantly over the weekend I will take a trip to the doctors myself...

Jesus people, lets just try and get fit. It isn't hard!!
All these niggling little injuries should be dealt with straight away. If you think you have an injury rest it straight away and minimise long term damage. This should mean you will be back sooner and less chance of a recurrance.
We may be struggling for a team this week, only me, Shiz, Mr T and Nev being the only definates at the mo!
Can we really afford to miss another one? Is it not miss 2+ games and you are out?
A little but of fitness helps to reduce the chance of injury as your body becomes used to the impact on it. Belly, Russ and J all need to make an effort to get even slightly fitter!!
A 15 minute run 2-3 times a week is not really that much to ask!
Oi, mini ya lil shit! It was my back that hurt! Anyway, went on a lil jog yesterday and everythings tight now! so cant see how it helps yet, tho i'm sure it will!!!
Good stuff Russ, thats all you need to do! I'm sure that you will find that excercise will help all manner of ailments (back, breathing, arms, legs).
It is bound to be uncomfortable in the first instance as your body isn't used to it. No pain, no gain as they say!
If people keep it up it will become naturally. I presume you are warming up and down as that wards of stiffness and tightness etc.
Keep up the good work!!
4/5 months till the Manchester Run!
warmed up AND down, tho didnt know some of the muscle groups existed that hurt!!! And yes, i will reevaluate where i am in a few months and see if i am entering the manchester run. Doubt i'll be training as hard as other people tho! Its cold and rainy...
LOL!
Shiz said you were following the 10km run training for beginners which, if you carry on, will give you plenty of time to prepare for the run.
Charlotte and I have started running too, only short distances (as Charlotte hasn't really run before), but even every day you find out more about your body.
The pace you find comfortable, breathing patterns, potential problems, warm up techniques etc, which is all really useful.
And if you can train in this weather, imagine what you can do when the weather gets better and the days longer!!
It'll be like Rocky!!!
LoL. allegedly, it reckons half hour jogs will get you close to 5km runs at a decent pace after future running! But we'll see. still not said yes to the manchester run. And road running is notorious for doing a "belly" to your knee! Thank god for shox!
